Community Info C o l o r : perhaps the most powerful element of composition.

If you feel it plays some kind of role or non-role in the art/designs/film/attire/world you create or experience, show stuff here. critique. be critiqued.

There is no pressure to make connections to any of the (possibly over-dramatic) questions I make here:

what does color mean in art? are these meanings dictated by society, inherent psychology, a teacher? is reaction to color different for each viewer in each situation or are there some accepted constants? does color theory vary depending on culture? how does a color's placement or surroundings change its meaning? How is it symbolic? how do you capture it? how do you create it? how do you manipulate it? do you care? what feelings does it evoke? what does it have to do with ethnicity? how is it related to tradition? what does it have to do with nature? does it force a viewer? does it command audience? what does it add to your design or photo? do we all see it the same? how can we know? how do you use it to your advantage? how do you submit to its power? how does its meaning change over time? does it distract? does it lead? are you indifferent? is it worth all this attention? do you have a choice?
